INVER Coatings prices set to rise

Jun - 14 - 2004

The development of the world economy, and more in particular of country such as China, India, USA and Japan, has had large repercussions on the increasing demand of raw materials. The effects of such phenomenon, as we all know, have been the source of many problems in regards to supply and the prices of ferrous materials. However, the strong tension in this field (raw material sector) as a function in fact of the increasing demand in light of an inadequate offer concentrated also around a small number of manufacturers, has been experienced also in the field of industrial chemistry.. A field already seriously penalized by the well known oil events and by the increase in the oil price that reached record levels. For some time already such tension has caused a substantial increase in the costs of raw materials (in addition to higher prices for packaging, transports etc.) of paints and powders, an increase that, up to today, we have been absorbing while waiting to verify their consolidation. We have however reached a level that can no longer be absorbed forcing us to conform our prices to the new situation. Starting from the June 15, 2004, the quotations of our products, paints and powders, will undergo an increase of 6%.
